I want to start documenting my travels but was afraid it would be mostly boring because I am sitting in the passenger seat literally ALL DAY. So, I can’t document my day-to-day living or else you would all think I am boring.
I haven’t been taking pictures for a long time because…. Well because I see the same thing over and over again. I know you all haven’t seen a lot of the United States so I will be taking pictures from the highways and byways again and post them to my photo gallery.
Andy and I were on the road from February 6 to April 7. Our homebase is Greensboro, N.C. and we were there on the weekends, sort of. Truckers have time regulations they have to follow, I get very confused when Andy tells me about them but I think I can sum it up.
A trucker is allowed to drive for 11 hours then needs to take a 10 hour break and you can only have a total of 14 hours in the da including drive time and on-duty time. A driver needs to take a 30-minute break for every 8 hours driven. Ok so far?
Here is where the 34-hour restart comes in, after 168 hours of on-duty and driving (after all those breaks above), a driver needs to take a 34-hour break before starting another round. See where I get confused?
So, all this to explain that we go to Greensboro for our 34-hour rest period and that is where I was doing laundry, cleaning the truck, food shopping and washing Chucky. Then we were off again.
Finally, On April 10 we went to Morehead City, N.C. at Whispering Pines campground for a weeks’ vacation. I highly recommend this campground, check it out; www.RVonthego.com.
This is the time when it gets exciting, sort of. We do a lot of sitting around in the still of the RV. I have no motion, no noise and a king size bed to sleep in. I also have all the comforts of home like a toilet and running water. We also did do stuff and ate great food.
On Tuesday, I did laundry and cleaned the RV up. I do love doing laundry, it is my Zen time, and it gave me a chance to regroup before our fun began.

On Wednesday we went to Atlantic Beach in the morning. The parking is free at a lot of the public beachfronts at that time and the beach is not crowded. We took Chucky for a couple hours. He LOVES the beach!

Then We ate at Morehead City Burger Co. you can see their stuff on Facebook @moreheadburgerco. they have a sweet potato fry dip that is so tasty and the burgers are out of this world good!

Thursday, I had what is called a Rebozo Realignment Massage by Jena Skai at http://www.mysacredsoul.com. Her shop is amazing, and she is more than amazing! This is one place YOU NEED TO GO if you are in the area.
Friday, I ate The BEST GRITS IN THE WORLD at The Banks Grill @TheBanksGrill on Facebook. They also have an omelet that doesn’t sound good, but it is one of the best I have eaten. It is called The Banks Omelet, 3 eggs, shrimp, mushrooms, bacon, green onions and pimento cheese. I am getting hungry just thinking about it!

Saturday morning, we ate at The Banks for breakfast again and OF COURSE I got the grits! we then ventured to the North Carolina Aquarium at Pine Knoll Shores www.ncaquariums.com . It was great, it looked like they designed it for kids because a lot of the sights were low enough for them to look.

We then went to Snapperz Grill and Steam Bar. they have the BEST New England Clam Chowder I have eaten. Snapperzfamilyrestuant.com or @snapperszgrill on Facebook is where you can find them. I had the Mahi sandwich sans bread and their homemade chips and key lime pie. Best ever!!

Sunday was bittersweet. We knew we had to pack up and go back to Greensboro, but we also knew we had at least another week at Forest River Campground in Advance, N.C. I will talk about that next week!

I hope you all had a great adventure time reading this. I had a fabulous week and am looking forward to another fabulous week here in Advance.
